About Me

Hello!

Louise Courey Nadeau has been painting for over 25 years. She studied at the Segal
Centre for Performing Arts (formerly the Saidye Bronfman Centre for the Arts) and with other artists.

An avid gardener, her inspiration comes from nature itself and the colors of every season. She was also inspired by her work as Co-Chair of the Montreal Museum Festival of Flowers. Her work centers on two styles, a natural depiction of flowers and gardens, and a modern and personal style inspired by the Laurentians region and
scenery.

Her technique is ‘impasto’ where acrylic paint is layered in a thick texture with
a spatula giving an almost 3D effect.

Louise is also an artist in another medium, having created and written four books in the Magelica’s Voyage series for children.
